I take commissions in oil and in charcoal: the people you love, pets and wildlife, the home place or landscape that matters to you, and the ships and aircraft you served with.
What I paint
- Portraits & people: family, couples, memorial portraits, service members
- Pets & wildlife: dogs, horses, big cats, birds, fish
- Navy ships & aircraft: your carrier, ship, submarine, or squadron aircraft
- Places: farms, barns, cabins, lakes, the road home
- Charcoal: expressive portraits on paper or prepared canvas
- Size & medium: oil on canvas or charcoal; sizes to fit your wall

The process

Send the form below or email me with your idea, the size you have in mind, and when you need it.
Share your photos
Send your best reference photos. For ships and aircraft, include hull numbers, squadron markings, or the era you served.
Talk it through
We go over the subject, composition, medium, and size together, and I give you a price.
I paint
I paint or draw your piece in oil or charcoal.
The finished piece
I share the finished piece with you.
Getting it to you
We work out together how the piece gets to you.
